The assessment of the AQA AS Level Maths is based on 2 written papers that are outlined below.  Content will include:

Proof – Algebra and functions – Coordinate Geometry – Sequences and series – Trigonometry – Exponentials and logarithms – Differentiation – Integration – Vectors – Statistical sampling – Data presentation and interpretation – Probability – Statistical distributions – Statistical hypothesis testing – Quantities and units in mechanics – Kinematics – Forces and Newton’s Law – and in addition the use of data in statistics

AQA AS Level Maths (7356)

Paper 1 will count for 50% of the overall AS grade and will be 1 hour 30 minutes in duration.

There are a possible maximum of 80 marks from a mix of question styles, from short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems.
