IGCSE Mathematics 9-1 (0626 - for centres in the UK)

The CAIE Maths specification allows students to acquire a solid foundation of mathematical study that will provide them with the skills to understand and solve problems.

CAIE IGCSE Maths Assessment

The assessment of the CAIE IGCSE Maths is based on 3 written papers that are outlined below.

Students completing the Core syllabus (5-1) will complete Paper 1, 3 and 5.

Students completing the Extended syllabus (9-4) will complete Paper 2, 4 and 6.

CAIE IGCSE Mathematics (0626)

Calculators can be used for these papers.

Paper 1 or Paper 2 will count for 25% of the overall grade and will be 1 hour in duration.

There are 60 marks available.

CAIE IGCSE Mathematics (0626)

Calculators can not be used in these papers.

Paper 3 or 4 will count for 35% of the overall grade and will be 1 hour 30 minutes in duration.

There are 84 marks available.

CAIE IGCSE Mathematics (0626)

Calculators can be used for these papers.

Paper 5 and 6 will count for 40% of the overall grade and will be 2 hours.

There are 96 marks available.
